Animation

Animation in one view. Portfolios and reels from 2D, 3D, stop motion and motion graphics animators, individual shorts, loops, title sequences, music videos and idents, and the screenings, festival deadlines and workshops being listed. Every row runs through to its full page.

Animation has split between studio pipelines and one-person productions. The tools that used to define a studio, compositing, rigging and rendering, now run on a single machine, and Blender put a full 3D pipeline within reach of anyone who would learn it. Streaming demand pulled work in and then contracted, so freelance contracts and short commissions carry more animators than staff jobs do. Stop motion survived the shift by being the thing that cannot be generated, and it books years ahead.

Reels and breakdowns sit on the same artist page, so a studio can see the finished shot and the rig or the rostrum behind it without a second link. Frame-by-frame work is slow and the archive here is meant to hold years of it, not the last three jobs someone had time to rebuild a site around.
