Barcelona Artists is a free directory and community for artists working in Barcelona and across Catalonia, in the twelve disciplines the site covers: painting, music, dance, photography, sculpture, animation, film, illustration, literature, theatre, craft and fashion. Portfolios are here, along with the exhibitions and concerts artists put on, the courses they teach and the studios they open.
The scope is Barcelona and the rest of Catalonia, so Girona, Tarragona, Lleida and the inland towns are all in it. Somebody with a ground-floor studio and somebody working from the spare room at home get the same page and the same listing, because what counts here is the work rather than the address.
You can read all of it without an account: profiles, works, events, courses, spaces and the studio visits, with the contact details artists put there themselves. The site runs in Catalan, Spanish and English, and every listing is written by whoever signs it. An account is free, and so is a profile, the work you put on it and the exhibitions you announce.

“Serbian-born, Barcelona-based painter Valentina Brostean on trading commercial design for pure expression, her 'alchemical' blank-canvas process, and the personal mythology of strong feminine figures and humanoid guardians that fills her house-museum.”

“Flamenco guitarist, composer and Gran Gala Flamenco musical director Tati Amaya — great-nephew of Carmen Amaya — on returning to his family's Barcelona, why silence is the loudest sound on stage, and how a glance keeps a whole company improvising as one.”
