The music side of the site, gathered. Composers, singers, producers, session players and bands keep artist pages here, upload tracks, live sets and unfinished sketches, and list the gigs, recitals, DJ sets and album launches they are playing. The three rows below each open onto their full listing.

Recording moved into the room the musician already had. A record that needed a studio and an engineer thirty years ago is now made on a laptop with an interface, which widened who can release and narrowed what releasing earns. Streaming pays per play at rates that only work at scale, so live performance, teaching, sync licensing and commissions carry most working musicians. The recording is often the calling card while the income sits somewhere else entirely.

Audio sits next to video and text rather than in a separate player silo, so a composer can post a score, a rough take and a note about what changed between them in one place. Dates are entered by the musicians and the venues themselves, which is why the listing runs from a room above a bar to a concert hall.
