"Las heridas" explores emotional memory inscribed in the body, where the figure unfolds between fragility and resistance. A dual presence suggests an intimate dialogue between shadow and the conscious self, evoking childhood wounds that persist as silent echoes into adulthood. Rather than fading, these marks become living material for personal reconstruction. The gesture of holding and being held introduces the idea of “mothering oneself”an inner act of care that requires facing pain without denial. The childlike presence, exposed and vulnerable, coexists with a quiet yet enduring strength. The fluid, organic painterly language reinforces the tension between rupture and repair. Las heridas does not offer resolution; instead, it opens a space of resistance where sensitivity is preserved as a form of power and continuous growth.
