Untitled 1 copy 2
Alireza Ghotbi
The Observer is a self-representation built around one of the artist’s most defining qualities: observation. The eye at the center of the painting represents his way of experiencing the world -looking closely, noticing details, and finding meaning beyond what is immediately visible. The painted eye, surrounded by the artist’s own hands through photographic montage, becomes both a portrait and a reflection of the self: a person who understands and defines himself through the act of looking. Medium: Oil on canvas and photographic montage.
